Since Batman is trained in martial arts but has no super powers, and GL does have super powers (magical-hypertechnological abilities derived from his power ring, worn on his middle finger; vulnerable to the colour yellow for some reason) but they do not include super strength, I think Batman would kick GL's pansy ass. BUT it should be noted that Green Lantern is not one dude but actually any member of the intergalactic police force called the Green Lantern Corps; anyone with a power ring can be one.

Green Lantern's usual work is far more hand-intensive.
He wins.
I don't know about that, Batman's usual work is very fist-intensive.
Not to mention the batarang, grappling gun, hand-to-hand combat...
the green lantern, because although batman has the bat thumb, the green lantern is bound to be a good gardener.

Except, Octoputz, lanterns don't have fingers.
